Creating a meaningful work culture is a team effort where every member contributes with their unique perspective. At Wiremind, we're committed to creating a welcoming work environment, because when people feel connected, supported, and genuinely enjoy spending time together, collaboration flourishes. This is the key ingredient to our success.
Among the many teams that shape this environment, one stands out for bringing people together in a unique way: the Bureau du Fun (BDF). What started with a few casual game nights has grown into something bigger - an employee-powered initiative that's now an essential part of daily life at Wiremind.
Meet the five people behind this cultural movement:
The story of the Bureau du Fun began with a simple observation: we already had everything we needed to have a good time. The stage was set between a console, a few board games, and a team open to new ideas. It felt natural to turn that setup into something more intentional. Instead of waiting for fun to happen, why not create it?
That's exactly what Damien Jouve and Alexandre Mogès did at the end of 2022. They took the initiative to organize the first events - small in the beginning, but filled with energy and laughter. And soon, it became clear that they were building blocks for something deeper: connection, community, and a shared sense of belonging.
From there, what started informally evolved into a real initiative. With structure and consistency, the BDF was born.
At its heart, the BDF isn’t about entertainment. It’s about people. It’s about our team members making Wiremind better for each other. It’s not a corporate initiative, but rather, everyone is welcome to participate, pitch in, or just drop by for a few minutes during the events. There’s no pressure or expectations, which makes the experience feel organic and inclusive.
The BDF team is always open to ideas, feedback, and volunteers - because the best events come from our collective imagination.
Talking about his motivation to create the BDF, Damien Jouve says, “In my daily life, I'm naturally someone who likes to bring joy to others… So for me, the motivation wasn't just about organizing events for the sake of it, it was about creating something lasting, something that brings joy and human connection into our work lives.”
This philosophy has proven successful as the BDF continues to bring the team closer together.
Being part of the BDF isn’t a full-time role nor a formal department. It’s a passion project, run alongside day jobs and deadlines. But that’s part of the magic.
"It's not in our job descriptions," says Alexandre Mogès, "but we truly believe it's part of what makes Wiremind special. We dedicate time during breaks and after hours to make these events happen; it's a labor of love that contributes to making Wiremind a better place for everyone."
To understand more about the behind-the-scenes of these events, here is a taste of how the BDF works:
When asked about their favorite event, the team immediately points to Poker Night. Damien Jouve explained: "Poker Night stood out. People who wouldn’t usually join in were right there at the table, learning and having fun. It was amazing to see how quickly things turned into a team moment, full of support and competition. That felt like we’re reaching our goal: to make Wiremind feel even more like a community.”
And it’s not just BDF events. Initiatives like the NeverMind band - a music group formed by Wiremind employees - highlight just how deeply our people enjoy spending time and creating together, both during and outside of work hours.
What started as light-hearted has turned out to be transformative.
Alexandre Mogès shares: “While fun is at the heart of what we do, the broader goal is to reinforce Wiremind’s human side. We’re building a space where people feel connected, supported, and inspired to show up as themselves.”
For newcomers especially, the BDF plays a vital role. Events like game nights and movie screenings have become soft, low-pressure entry points into company life.
As Jordane Lamarche puts it: “I joined a board game night just 10 days after arriving. I barely knew anyone, couldn’t match names with faces yet, but by the end of the night, I had learned about 20 names and connected with people through the games. That single evening made a huge difference in how quickly I felt comfortable at Wiremind.”
These moments might seem small, but their impact is anything but. The ripple effect of the BDF can be felt throughout the company:
Culture isn’t built overnight, but small moments like a poker night or sharing pizza after work lay the groundwork. They help create a workplace where people feel comfortable, valued, and ready to do great things together.
As Wiremind grows, so does the Bureau Du Fun. With new people, new cultures, and new ideas joining the mix, the team is excited to keep evolving. More themed nights? A 2025 summer picnic? A talent show? Anything is possible, as long as it brings people together. Because at Wiremind, culture isn’t a poster on the wall. It’s something we build, event by event, person by person.
